Perhaps love is the most natural thing in the world—hardly anyone would claim not to know what love is.And yet, speaking about it isn’t always easy. Love often seems to be either too much or too little, rarely simple or enough. As a fundamental human need, love influences our decisions. It appears in the most beautiful as well as the darkest moments of our lives. Love wears many faces and has had many names throughout human history—Eros, Ludus, Mania, Amo, Pragma, Philia, Storge, Agape... (just to name a few). This diversity reflects its many facets and the multitude of forms it can take.

This exhibition is an invitation to explore love in all its variety.Spanning generations, mediums, and countries, the contributions are love letters written in the language of art. Whether love inspires or unsettles, whether it is thought or felt—this exhibition offers a chance to experience its many manifestations.
